Textured Kultrun Ring – Oxidised Sterling Silver

This handcrafted ring is made from solid 925 sterling silver and features the Kultrun, one of the most sacred symbols in Mapuche culture. Traditionally held by the machi (healers and spiritual guides), the Kultrun drum represents the universe, balance, and the cycles that shape life.

The circular face is divided into four sections, symbolizing the four directions (Meli Witran Mapu) and the interconnected forces of land, sky, water, and spirit. Celestial symbols — the moon and stars — reflect the Mapuche understanding of time, seasons, and cosmic order.

Unlike the smooth version, this ring features a hand-textured band, created through traditional hammering techniques. The organic texture gives the piece a raw, grounded character, echoing the natural landscapes of Mapuche territory and the marks of handwork. The centre has been oxidised by hand, allowing the Kultrun symbol to stand out with depth and clarity against the darker background.
